Next Blog

Everyone clicks this when they're avoiding studying, or the washing up, or something equally necessary, right? Ok then.

Have you ever got the same random blog? I just did, three out of four clicks. A glitch, or does this prove that it's totally random?

Why are there so many that I can't understand? No, not cos I'm stupid, stupid, cos I don't speak Spanish or whatever. Ok my failure to learn a second language, but I'm working on that. Really need to add a "Next Blog in ..." eg "English" Button.

Have you ever got your own blog as the Next one?

I Can Sign a Rainbow

So I've started sign lessons with a bunch of people from work. It's so cool, like learning a whole new language... but one that's a hell of a lot easier than Spanish.

At the start of each class the teacher does a little speech just signing, without voice. Watching that is just so... magic. Hmm I sound like a lunatic. But it's like watching anyone who's really really good at what they do, whether it's signing, or basketball, or um knitting. You know what I mean.

Another thing I noticed, after coming home and teaching my housemates a few signs, is that everyone's signing is like handwriting or something. Very distinctive once you know enough to recognise the signs or the personality.

Very coincidentally, I recieved a forward from someone who didn't know I was taking the classes, with a video entitled "Karaoke for the Deaf." I have no idea how to put it here for y'all but if you can find it somewhere on the internet, have a look, it's veeery funny.

Ouchie, also entitled, How Rude

So I was taking a ride with a friend on a motorbike when all of a sudden it slid out from under us and we were on the ground in the middle of the road. Luckily we did not get run over by the truck that was following us, but that is about the extent of the goodness of the situation.

We left the bike there on the side of the road as it was unrideable, a now-unidentifiable substance leaking from parts unknown, and got a lift home with a nice lady and her son who stopped to help us out. I think we looked helpless.

I have a stinging graze on my shoulder (turns out singlet tops aren't ideal for motorbike riding), a black sore on my elbow and one on my foot, and various random bruises, all down one side. Late-breaking news: flip-flops aren't that hot either.

But wait there's more.

Ok, so neither of us was really hurt, we didn't get run over, and it was actually kind of exciting, what with the sliding and the spinning HOWEVER...

Went my friend went back an hour later to walk the bike home . . .
IT WAS NOT THERE!!!!

Can you believe it?
Grrr.

The traditional 'apology post'

Well I am sorry I haven't posted in a while.

I feel like I should have something interesting to write about.

There seems to be a huge number of this type of post around.

The hugely popular blogs that large numbers of people read never apologise.

Most of the time I think the person who cares most that they haven't posted is the poster.
